We are proud to be independently owned and not affiliated with any corporate funeral chain.

Corporate out of town owned funeral homes' first priority is to serve their stockholders, making decisions according to corporate close supervision and mandates. These can be short term cost cutting decisions that decrease their overall level of service. Corporate red tape, distant management and demands to lower costs hinder responses to family needs. 

The last two decades have seen a dramatic increase in the number of corporate owned funeral homes, as conglomerates have acquired locations all across the country. Typically the original, often family, names are kept on the majority of these funeral homes; they know local families choose a funeral home based on name recognition and long-term community roots. But this is a façade. The names remain the same but the business model has changed and the local roots have been cut to serve distant owners.
