Anita Lee (McCall) Rader, 86, passed away at home on 7-April-2024, in Chester SC.  Anita was born on 22-May-1937 in Weston WV, to Juanita Spaur McCall and John McCall.  In addition to her parents, Anita was predeceased by her first husband George Morrison, second husband Dorsey Rader; sons George Morrison and David Morrison (survived by his widow Paula of Apollo, PA); brother Joe McCall and sister/best friend Kaye McCall; niece Amy Mayes (survived by her son Jaron), nephew Kenny Ervin, daughter-in-law Allison Rader, and great granddaughter Ryleigh Hagerty.

Anita is survived by her son Robert Morrison in Lower Burrell PA, daughter Robin (Morrison) Nydes in Chester SC; grandchildren Courtney Morrison Hagerty (Dan) and their daughter Reagan in Erie PA, Christopher Morrison (Nicole) in New Kensington PA, Benjamin Nydes of Chester SC, and Lindsey Nydes Ubowski (Mike) in Lansdale PA.  She is also survived by three stepsons and their families in Indiana:  Marc Rader and his children Chelsea, Chloe, and Hallie Rader, and Marisa Minth (Tyler); Darrin Rader and daughter Ariana; and Roger (Elizabeth) Rader with children Christoper, Anthony, Nathan, and Caroline.  Her surviving sisters-in-law are Virginia Francis in Sun City West, AZ, and Susie McCall Hart (Bob) in Rocky Point, NC.  Nieces and nephews include Pamela Ervin Beckford (son Kenny) and Randy Ervin (Kasia); Cynthia Mayes Cutlip (husband Ron, their children Hunter, Camden, and Riley) in Clarksburg WV, and Tracie Mayes Wood (husband David, their sons Andrew and Connor) in Navarre FL; and near Wilmington are Kevin McCall and Shawn (Karen) McCall and their daughter Kaitlyn.

Anita graduated in 1955 from Washington Irving High School in Clarksburg WV.  She started her career at James & Law in Clarksburg, married George Morrison, raised four children in New Kensington PA, taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School, and served as a Cub Scouts Den Mother to spend quality time with her sons.  She managed ladies fashions for Montgomery Ward in Lower Burrell, PA; divorced after 25 years, Anita was instrumental in opening a new Montgomery Ward store in Bridgeport, WV, where she served as Personnel Manager until retiring in 1998.  She married Dorsey Rader in 1987 and lived in Stonewood WV, as an active member of Vincent Memorial United Methodist Church.  After retirement she volunteered at Clarksburg’s United Hospital Center for more than 10 years and was Volunteer of the Year in 2010.  After moving to South Carolina, Anita volunteered at Newberry County Memorial Hospital and was widowed in 2017.  Since moving to Chester, Anita was active in Bethel United Methodist Church and missed it very much after she became unable to attend.

Anita was a loving mother, step-mother, grandmother, and a wonderful wife who made a happy home.  She was smart and kind and leaves a lot of good friends and family behind. She was a positive person with a sweet and frequent smile.  A lover of all things Irish, she will be honored at a wee bit of an Irish Wake with food, drink, music, and fellowship at Pollard Funeral Home (115 York Street in Chester, SC) on April 20 from 5:00-7:30pm. She will be buried with Dorsey Rader in Fort Jackson National Cemetery during a private ceremony.
