Charles “Chuck” S. Douglas, 60, passed away Friday, March 29, 2024 in MUSC-Lancaster. He was the son of the late John C. and Tommie Roberts Douglas. He is survived by one sister, Cindy Richardson Fowler (Ken); two step sisters he regarded as sisters, Carla Sizemore and Kelly Lewis; three nephews, Joe Burton (Kim), Rick Richardson (Holly) and Larry Richardson (Betty).
Chuck was retired from Borden’s Food and a member of First Free Will Baptist of Chester where he was active in all areas of the church and Hawthorn Christian Academy. He was a former member of Chester County Rescue Squad, played church league softball and loved playing video games. He worked in Charlotte, NC at the Mad Monster Horror Convention and was part of the Cantrell Racing Team. One of Chucks greatest pleasures was to be Santa at his church and for local organizations.
The family is gathering at Chuck’s home, 1041 Peden Bridge road in Chester.
The visitation for Chuck will be 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. Monday, April 1st at Together as One Ministries, 534 Bratton Street, Chester, SC 29706; the funeral will follow at 3:00 p.m. and be conducted by Mr. Hutch Hutchins, Reverend Roger Roof and Reverend Melvin Pressley.
The burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
