Ailein (Culp) Spencer

Ailein Culp Spencer, age 82, passed away October 2 at Chester Regional Medical Center. She was the widow of Luther Spencer and the daughter of the late Elbert and Elizabeth Janie Garrison Culp.  She was a Christian and a retired accountant. She was proud of her service as a veteran of the United States Marine Corp.

She is survived by her son, Jerry D. Rollins, Sr. (Tina) and her daughter, Audrey Connor, all of Chester. She is also survived by her grand-children, Jerry D. Rollins, Jr. (Melanie), and Tina Morgan (Lee); great-grand-children, Stacie, Savannah, Saleena and Sydney Rollins, and Layla Morgan; her siblings, Nell Roddey of Blackstock, Allen Culp of Richburg, Bobby Culp of Ft. Lauderdale, Fl., Alice Abston of Columbia, Helen Bagby of Cummings Ga., Tot Kennedy of Chester and Elbert Culp of Salisbury, NC.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Barney L., John W., Neil W. Culp, and Thelma C. Andrews.

Ms. Spencer’s later life was enriched by the love and care of special caregiver, Sarah Good.

A memorial gathering of family and friends will be held 6-7:00p.m., Friday at Pollard Funeral Home.
