Dick Blair

Dick Blair, age 81, of Chester passed away March 12, 2018. Dick was the son of the late Charles E. and Dollie Smith Blair. He was married to the late Donna Grant Blair for 41 years.

Dick was born in Deerpark, Washington in 1936. He was the owner of Dick Blair Pools in Chester; a member of Parkway Baptist Church and a student at Beaver Creek Bible Institute; and a member of Chester Civitan Club since 1969. He was a former board member of; Chester Little Theater, Catawba Mental Heath, Chester Sewer District, and the Chester County School Board. He is survived by two daughters, Sherry B. Lampley (Jimmy) of Cheraw and Sheila Duncan (Charlie) of Chester, one sister, Audrey Clayton (Leon) of Blackstock. His 7 grandchildren are Carla Anderson (John) of Florence, Christy Jones of Chester, Lisa Rainer (Michael) of Sumter, J.B. Blair (Mary) of Rock Hill, Chad Duncan (Elizabeth) of Chester, Stephanie Blair of Chester and Steven Blair of Chester; 16 great-grand-children and 1 great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by twin sons, Donald L. and Ronald A. Blair, one great-grand- son, Jayden Jones, one brother, Kenneth Blair and one sister, Barbara Boyd.

Funeral services to honor the life of Mr. Blair will be held 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Parkway Baptist Church. Reverend Jay Dorsey will speak. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 until 2:00 in the sanctuary. The burial will be in Chester Memorial Gardens. The family would like to thank special friends Lewis and Flo Ryan of Chester and Frances Cox of Columbia.
