Gainelle Catoe

Gainelle Horne Catoe, passed away on September 16, 2017 at the Chester Nursing Center.

She was born March 18, 1925 to the late Reuben Charles Horne and Elizabeth Shugart Horne. Mrs. Catoe attended the schools of Rock Hill and Fort Mill as well as the College of Commerce.

She was a member of Faith Baptist Church. She loved to read and enjoyed baking, and was known for her pound cakes.

Mrs. Catoe was the widow of Fred M. Windell, Jr., and Henry C. Catoe.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Elizabeth (Betty) Horne.

She is survived by her son, Fred M. Windell, III and stepchildren; Calvin (Sandra) Catoe, Carolyn (Ken) McCorkle, Frances (Bobby) Morrow, and Kit (Sam) Frazer along with 3 grandchildren and numerous step-grand and step-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 2p.m., Monday September 18th at Faith Baptist Church in Chester.  Pastor Gerald Moss will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church following the service. Interment will be private at Laurelwood Cemetery in Rock Hill.
