Kevin J Payne

Kevin Payne, age 62, formerly of Kershaw passed away April 29, 2019 in Piedmont Medical Center. Kevin was born in Lancaster, SC on March 20, 1957 to the late James L. and Martha Love Payne.

He graduated from Andrew Jackson High School and he loved fishing and hunting. Most recently he was employed by Brad Cole Construction and formerly held management and supervisory positions with Winn Dixie and Southern Convenience Stores.

Kevin is survived by the love of his life, Jane Kuffner of the home; one son, Joshua Payne (Brooke) of New Orleans, Louisiana; one daughter, Tori Payne (Will Mobley) of Chester; one grandson, Carson Sanders; Chad Kuffner (Terri) of Lancaster, Meredith Kuffner Jackson (Ron) of Pensacola, Fla., two brothers, Gene Payne (Shirley) of Savannah, Ga., Eric Payne (Cheryl) of Kershaw, one sister, Nancy Hewitt (Rob) of Kershaw; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one grand-daughter, Carliegh Sanders.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials made in Kevin’s name to West Side Baptist Church, P O Box 1049, Chester, SC 29706 or Pleasant Plain Baptist Church, 3795 Pleasant Church Road, Kershaw, SC 29067.

The visitation for Kevin will be held 6-8 o'clock p.m. Thursday at Pollard Funeral Home. The celebration of Kevin's life will be held 3 o'clock p.m.Friday at Pleasant Plain Baptist Church, 3795 Pleasant Plain Church Road, Kershaw, SC 29067. Reverend Rob Hewitt will officiate. Kevin will be buried in the Pleasant Plain Baptist Church Cemetery.
