Peggy (McElwaine) Jones

Peggy Jones, age 78, of Chester and formerly of Charlotte died Sept. 3, 2019 in Piedmont Medical Center. She was the widow of Paul Jennings Jones and the daughter of the late Charles H. and Lucille Gordon McElwaine. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Chester. She is survived by her daughter, Alycia Davis (Jeremy) of Chester; her caregiver and close friend whom she considered like a daughter, Teresa Bell (Wayne); one sister, Diane Black (Dwight) of Stanley, NC; grand-children Trenton A. Davis, Austin G. Davis, Preston J. Davis, Lillian C. Davis, Justin Bell and Jeff Bell; and many friends at The Community Church where she had recently attended when her health allowed. She was preceded in death by one brother, Wayne McElwaine and one sister Marilyn Yandle.
