Sharon (Lisk) Gowan

Sharon Gowan, 75, passed away Saturday, August 11, 2018 while in hospice care. She was the widow of Donald O. Gowan. She was a member of Canaan Baptist Church and had attended Cedar Spring Baptist Church.

Mrs. Gowan is survived by two daughters, Joan Gruver of Pauline and Mary Cartee (Joey) or Roebuck; one brother, Larry Lisk of Salisbury, NC; one sister, Shirley Russell of Greer; four grand-children, Trey Cartee (Heather), Blake Cartee (Megan Wilkerson), Ryan Gruver, Kyle Gruver (Jessi Dishman); three great-grand-children, Bentley Cartee, Sawyer Cartee and Berkleigh Gruver, and longtime companion, Tuffy.

The family is gathering at the home of her grandson, Trey Cartee, 370 Independence Drive, Roebuck, SC 29376.

Funeral services to honor the life of Mrs. Gowan will be held 3:00p.m., Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at Cedar Spring Baptist Church, 140 Cedar Springs Place, Spartanburg. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 1:30 - 2:45p.m.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made in Sharon's memory to the Shriners Hospital or Spartanburg Regional Healthcare Hospice.
