Albert Cloud, age 68, of Chester passed away Thursday, October 22, 2015 in a Rock Hill health care facility.

Mr. Cloud was the husband of Ann Hughes Cloud to whom he was married 43 years, and the son of the late Paul J. and Mildred Houge Cloud.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Cloud is survived by his son Jason; daughter in-law, Jill; and granddaughter, Luella Grace Cloud of Fort Mill; one brother, Joel Cloud and his wife Cotton of Charlotte.

Mr. Cloud was of the Christian faith and he was retired from SCDOT in Chester; he was a former youth sports coach; played football for Chester High School and was a member of the state championship team in 1963 – 1964; the past president of the Chester Shag Club and the Chester Gamecock Club; and a golfer.

A gathering of family and friend will meet at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon at Pollard Funeral Home to celebrate his life. The family is gathering at 663 Willa Court in Chester.

The family suggests memorials be made in lieu of flowers to the nearest chapter of Alzheimer's Association, 901 South. Pine Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302.
