Barbara Grant Gibson, age 77, of Chester passed away June 10, 2015 in a nursing care facility.

The visitation and funeral will be held Saturday at Pollard Funeral Home. The visitation will be from 11a.m. until Noon and the funeral will be conducted at Noon by Reverend Bruce Wyatt. Barbara will then be laid to rest with her late husband, Jearld David Gibson, in Chester Memorial Gardens.

Barbara was the daughter of the late Thomas Benjamin and Nannie Wallace Grant. She was retired from the Katherine Plant of Springs Industries; she attended West Chester Baptist Church and was a member the Ladies Auxiliary of the Chester Shrine Club.

She is survived by one son and his wife, Wayne and Gloria Gibson of Chester; three sisters, Dorothy Atkins and Betty Jean Boulware of Chester and Mary Frances Poole of Richburg; one grand-daughter and her husband, Jennifer and Richard Compton of Gaffney; great- grandson, Collin Compton. Barbara was preceded in death by four brothers, Alvin, Wallace, Edward and Billy Grant and one sister, Lucille Akery.

The family will be at the homes of Betty Jean Boulware, 537 Carolina Drive, Chester and Wayne and Gloria Gibson's home, 626 Summersby St. in Chester.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to the Chester Shrine Club, P.O. Box 421, Chester, SC 29706.
