Barbara Hutto Simon Lipford, age 80, formerly of Chester died October 24, 2015 in Greensboro, NC. She was the daughter of the late Jacob W. and Annie Ferrell Hutto, Sr. She was twice widowed, first to Ambrose M. Simon and second to Charles W. Lipford.

Mrs. Lipford was retired from Hawthorne Industries and a member of Orrs Baptist Church.

She is survived by three sons, Richard L. Simon of York, Keith L. Simon of Whitmire, Paul Simon of York; five daughters, Patricia S. Waters of Chester, Maxine Gregory of Newberry, Brenda Gleaton of Lancaster, Karen Ciesielski of Greensboro, NC, Ester R. Hyler of Newberry; two sisters, Margaret Messer of Canton, NC, Mary Shaver of Chester; 23 grand-children and 35 great-grand-children; 1 great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by two sons, Robert and Bobby M. Simon.

The visitation for Mrs. Lipford will be held 6-8:00p.m Tuesday at Pollard Funeral Home. The funeral will be held at 1:00p.m., Wednesday, at Orrs Baptist Church, conducted by Reverends Randall Runion and Curtis Marshall. The burial will be in Chester Memorial Gardens.

The family is gathering at the home, 1299 Wylie Road in Chester.
