Barry D. "Lanny" Vance, 82, passed away Monday, January 15. He was the husband of Irene McWaters Vance. He is also survived by his daughters Cheryl Watson (Maurice) of North Myrtle Beach, SC and Tonya Smith (Chris)of Simpsonville, SC; his step-daughters Kelly Bagley (Lex) of Chester and Charlotte Shannon (Adam) Chester; step-son Mike Mincey (Sharon); four grandchildren, Meg W. Grable (Matt), Beth Watson (Michael), Katelin Smith (Chip), Hunter Smith; four step-grandchildren Landon Bagley, Cole Bagley, Carlee Shannon, Ashton Shannon; great-grandchildren Mackenzie Grable and Kyler Castle.

Mr. Vance was pre-deceased by an infant son, Barry Timothy Vance.

Barry was a member of Parkway Baptist Church and a member of the American Legion Association.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital stjude.org or the American Heart Association, American Heart Association, P.O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23058-5216.

Lanny's request was that no memorial service will be held.
