Betty B. Bagley went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 13, 2020.
She is survived by her beloved grand-children; Shannen Snead Cabe, Tiffany Jennings, Chas Snead; her great-grand-children, Madison Reed, Kale Jennings, and Madden Snead.
She was preceded in death by her husband Carl L. Bagley; her son, Jimmy Snead; her 7 brothers and sisters and her parents, Charles W. and Maggie Wooten Bigham.
Betty was an active member of First Baptist Church of Chester and a Sunday school teacher of the Nursery Class. Betty retired from Omnova Solutions in 2005 after 43 years; she proudly served the people of Chester as a city council member for 25 years and had also served as Mayor Pro Tem. She was a long time faithful member of the Chester Civitan Club and was the current President. She was the Director of Christ Central Ministries of Chester. She was instrumental in the founding of The Chester Center of Hope Women's Shelter.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials may be given to the general fund of First Baptist Church of Chester.
The visitation will be at 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church of Chester in the vestibule of the sanctuary. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Reverend Clay Waldrip officiating. Her burial will be in Chester Memorial Gardens
