Mrs. Betty Scoggins Taylor passed away peacefully after a year's illness and a healthy life, on Thursday July 18, 2024 at MUSC-Lancaster. A celebration of her life will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, July 21, 2024 at Pollard Funeral Home, 115 York Street, Chester, SC. Rev. CE Taylor and Timmy Copeland will officiate. Visitation will follow the service.

Mrs. Taylor was the daughter of the late Thomas W. Scoggins and Edith Benson Scoggins. She is survived by her husband, Terry L. Taylor of the home, Sister Debra McMurray (Mike) of Chester, several nieces and nephews that she loved like her own and her cherished pets, Sasha, Reba Jo, Dixie 1, Chunker, Ace, Jake and Dixie 2.

Betty was a person that if you had the privilege of knowing, would make you feel welcome and loved. She attended school in Chester SC, and worked for Springs Industrial for many years.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials made in Betty's name to Last Chance Animal Rescue, 477 State Road S 44-438 Carlisle, SC 29031 or by visiting their website.
