Billy R. Wallen, age 83, passed away November 13, 2017. Mr. Wallen was born in Whitmire, SC to the late William M. and Mary Steffey Wallen. He served in the U.S. Navy and was retired from the Grace Bleachery in Lancaster. After his retirement he worked part time for Chester County in the Recycle Centers.

He is survived by his wife Carolyn Bradley Wallen of the home, one daughter, Della Jernigan (William) of Richburg; four grandchildren, Carl Roden, Olivia Morris, Roy Wallen and Bradley Wallen; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his siblings, George, Roy, Connie St. John, Myrtle Powell, Nancy Lincoln, Marie Barkley, Ruth Rockholt, Cora Bach and Mary Rousey.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial be made in memory of Mr. Wallen to regency Hospice, 420 S. Herlong Ave., Rock Hill, SC 29732.

The graveside for Mr. Wallen will be held 2:00 o'clock Sunday at Evergreen Cemetery. Reverend Steve Brumbey will speak. Locally owned Pollard Funeral Home is serving the family.
