Brenda Kay James McDaniel, age 59, of 100 Pundt Street died June 1, 2016. The memorial service will be held 3p.m. Sunday at Pollard Funeral Home. Pastor Brian Howard will speak.

Brenda was the widow of Charles S. "Cat" McDaniel and the daughter of the late Gerald and Earnestine Mathis James.

She is survived by two sons, Josh (Bailee Miller) and Daniel (Melissa) Mobley, all of Chester; four daughters, Kim Chambers (Lee), Amy Gurganus (Ralph), Shannon Smarr (Tim) and Brandy Knott, all of York; one brother, Billy James and one sister, Diane Pate, both of Chester; ten grand-children.
