Bryant Charles Hemby, III, 71, passed away Thursday, August 13th. He was born in Jacksonville, NC to the late Jean Campbell Hemby and Adrian E. Hemby. He was the husband of Joanne Howell Hemby of the home. He is also survived by step-son, Frank Roice of Williston, ND; daughter, Tonya Guthrie of Morehead City, NC, step-daughter, Kayla Roice (Hunter) of Williston, ND; brother, Adrain E. Hemby (Nancy) of Lancaster, SC; sisters, Rebecca Frank (David) of Swainsboro, NC, Melissa Vickers (Tom) of Newport, NC, Victoria Waltz (Fred) of Paris, OH, Sara Gray of Evansville, IN; grandson, Bobby Ray Liles of Fresno, CA. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jillian Noel Hemby.

Mr. Hemby was retired from the U.S. Air Force, of the Baptist faith, enjoyed reading, playing pool, sculpture and other art.
