Charles Edward Peay, age 72, formerly of Chester died in Anderson, SC in a long term care nursing facility. He was the son of the late Floyd F. and Carrie Varnadore Peay. He is survived by two sisters, Louise Simpson of Edgemore, Mary Blair of Chester; one brother, Wyndell Peay of Bamburg, SC. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Wallace and William T. Peay.

Mr. Peay's graveside service will be 3 p.m. Friday in Evergreen Cemetery. Rev. Della Hunsucker will speak.
