Claudia M. Groves, age 79, of 118 Oakland Avenue passed away December 9, 2016 at Chester Regional Medical Center. She was born in York County to the late Clyde and Velma M. Marquard. She was a Christian and a retired cook from Springs Industries.

Claudia is survived by two sons, Steve Groves of Chester and Ronnie Groves (Julie) of Chester; two daughters, Cynthia "Cindy" Humphries of Lancaster and Karen Williams of Chester; sister Jo Nalley of Rock Hill; 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by one son, Donnie Groves and one grand-daughter.

The visitation and funeral for Claudia will be at Chester First Church of the Nazarene on Wednesday, December 14, 2016. The visitation will be from 10 until 11am, the funeral will be conducted by Pastor Brian Howard at 11:00. The burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

The family is at the home on Oakland Avenue.
