Daniel Leon Kirkland, Jr., age 78, stepped from this earthly life into the loving arms of his Lord on Sunday morning. He was the son of Daniel Leon and Ollie Mae Wallace Kirkland, Sr.

Daniel was a member of Orr's Baptist Church and retired from Springs Industries.

He is survived by nieces, Rebecca Enix, Wanda Patrick (Roger) both of Chester; seven great nieces and nephews, Crystal Stewart (Jeff), Johnny Patrick, Tabitha Whitaker, Andrew Patrick, Leroy Patrick, Alicia Patrick and Stephen Patrick; and many great-great nieces & nephews, all whom he loved very much.

Following Dan's wishes the private burial was held Monday, April 25th. in Evergreen Cemetery.
