Daniel David Melton, 68, of 1093 Peden Bridge Road passed away Sept. 18, 2014 at Piedmont Medical Center. He was born in Chester to the late David L. and Mary Robins Melton. Danny attended Chester First Church of the Nazarene in his youth. He loved Clemson athletics; his dogs Sandy and Kody; playing golf; fishing; drag racing and especially his family. It was Danny's desire that those attending his graveside funeral and visitation feel comfortable in wearing casual game day attire. The graveside funeral will be 2p.m. Saturday at Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church Cemetery.  The visitation will be held at Pollard Funeral Home on Friday evening from 6 to 7:30p.m.

Danny is survived by two daughters; Brandy Scott and her husband Joel of Chester, Kimberly Cooke and her husband Cary of Ft. Lawn; one sister, Karen Holden and her husband Mike of Blackstock; grandchildren, Bethany Melton, Makayla Scott, Cody Cooke, Hunter Cooke, Sophie Ann Cooke. He was preceded in death by one brother, Gary Melton.
