David Austin, 79, of Chester passed away in Prisma Health-Columbia on Friday, January 24, 2025. He is survived by one son, Christopher L. Austin and one sister, Vera Allen Stone; two grandchildren, Dylan K. Austin and Brianna L. Austin. Davis was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine Baker Austin, his mother, Emily Austin; one son, David Russell "Rusty" Austin; one brother, Tom Heart.

A private memorial service will be held by the family in the near future.
