Melvin Dennis Norton, age 53, of Pleasant Grove Road passed away September 10, 2015 at Piedmont Medical Center. Dennis was born in Chester to the late Melvin G. and Nadene Barnes Norton. He is survived by, his girlfriend Linda Parker of the home; two daughters, Michelle Norton of Chester, Jessica N. Whitley and her husband Ron, of Rock Hill; one brother, Darrell Norton of Chester; two nephews, Chris and William B. Norton of Chester; grand-children, Jayme Norton, Josh Bowers, Johnathan Kopp, Jayden Norton, Karma Davie, Michael Kopp, Carter Norton and Ronnie Whitley. Also survived by, lifetime friend, Randy Welchel; step-children, Brooke and Robert Parker; step-grand-child, Vannah Parker. Dennis was pre-ceded in death by one son, Dennis Dwayne Norton.

The visitation will be held 6-8p.m., Saturday at Pollard Funeral Home. A graveside funeral will be held 3p.m. Sunday at Chester Memorial Gardens by Reverend Eric Shepard. After the graveside the family invites you to gather at 129 Gregg Avenue in Chester for refreshments.
