Dennis C. Rousey, 70, of 546 Lakenglen Road passed away Saturday at his home. He was the husband of Rosemary Jackson Rousey of the home and the son of the late Francine Baker Rousey McMahan. Dennis is also survived by two daughters, Jennifer R. Hinton and Heather R. Piper (Christopher); four grandchildren, Hayleigh Rose Caldwell, Danielle Denise Rousey, Jackson Colby McWatters, Aylivia Rose Mills; one great-grandchild, Kaidyn DaJuan Hinton; one sister, Robin Rousey of Georgia; brother and sister-in-laws, Vernon and Paulette Jackson of Chester, Marty and Vernita Wallace of Clayton, NC. Dennis was preceded in death by his brother, John Curtis Rousey. Mr. Rousey was of the Baptist faith and he was retired from Springs Industries-Eureka Plant. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy for 4 years and later in the Navy Reserves.

The family will receive friends 1:30-2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Pollard Funeral Home. Mr. Richard Bianco will speak at the graveside service 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at Chester Memorial Gardens. Military Honors will be provided by the U.S. Navy. Pollard Funeral Home is serving the family.
