Doris Ponder Duncan, 69, passed away Thursday in Piedmont Hospital. She was the wife of Ricky Duncan. Also surviving are one son, Andrew Taylor of Hendersonville, NC; one daughter, Shelby Jean Allison of Chester; one brother, Robert R. Ponder of Hendersonville; one bonus sister, Marlean Ponder of Asheville, NC, one grandson, Stetson Allison.

Born in Hendersonville, NC, Doris was the daughter of the late Robert Reeves Ponder and Hazel Stepp Ponder. She graduated from Spartanburg High School. Doris was a carefree, kind and spirited woman. She loved gardening, crafting and being with her family. She was of the Baptist faith.

On Saturday, November 15th at 5:00 p.m., friends and family will meet for a time of life celebration and fellowship in the chapel of Pollard Funeral Home.
