Doris Thompson Roberts, age 89, of 601 Dallas Drive, passed away Saturday April, 12, 2014. She was the wife of the late Charles "Buddy" Dallas Roberts Sr. She was born in Camden, SC to the late Gustavis J. and Cornelia Jane Garner Thompson. She is survived by two sons, Jim Roberts of Edgemoor, Tim Roberts of Richburg; four daughters Dianne Taylor, Mitzi Canupp, Tammy Houston and Phyllis Roberts all of Chester; a double nephew reared in the home as a son, Lonnie Roberts of Chester; 11 grand-children and 12 great-grand-children. She was proceeded in death by one son, Charles Roberts, Jr.; one sister, Mazie Roberts; three grand-children, Cully Stevenson, Joy and Wendy Sconyers.

Mrs. Roberts was a member of Faith Baptist Church and she was retired from the Springs Industries, Eureka Plant with forty three years of service.

The family is gathering at the home on Dallas Drive.

The visitation for Mrs. Roberts will be held Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at 2pm, the funeral will follow at 3pm and be conducted by Pastors Gerald Moss and Dale Welch, at Pollard Funeral Home, 115 York Street, Chester, SC 29706. The burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
