Dorothy "Dot" Lee Board Fortner, age 84, of 547 2nd Street, Chester died October 9, 2013 in Rock Hill. Mrs. Fortner is the widow of Calvin E. Fortner and the daughter of the late James Eli and Mary Elizabeth Singletary Board. Mrs. Fortner is survived by two daughters, Terri Fortner of the home; Patricia Long, and her husband Hugh of Myrtle Beach; one grandson, Steven Long and his wife Kimberly.
Mrs. Fortner was a member of Saluda Street Church of God and a member of the adult Sunday school Class.
The Visitation for Mrs. Fortner will be at Saluda Street Church of God, Friday, from 1pm until 1:45pm and the funeral will begin at 2pm. The Reverends Jimmy Cox and Roger Roof will officiate. The burial will be in Chester Memorial Gardens.
