Dorothy Edwards Pollard Melton, age 91, went to Heaven on November 26, 2016. Born in the Holly Springs community, she was the daughter of the late Oscar R. and Leila McCarter Edwards. She was twice widowed; first of John C. Pollard, Jr. and later of Tom B. Melton. She was the mother of Rocky Pollard (Angela) of Chester; Kim Owens (Steve A.) of Lyman; step-son, Tommy Melton (Tina) of Columbus, NC; four grand-children, Amelia Melton, Leah Owens, Kendall and Roxanne Pollard; and two great-grand-children, Alexis Scott and Zay Berry. She was a member of Duncan United Methodist Church.

A graveside funeral will be held 2:00 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, November 29 ^th in Heritage Memorial Gardens in Roebuck. The family will greet friends following the graveside service.
