Duke was the first dog I owned and I benefited greatly from the time we had. I met strangers through our walks. It was a rare day he didn't get a compliment from someone.

Duke woke me up every morning, gently at first, and with increasing annoyance until I took him outside, We played, we walked, we ran, we slept, we roamed this world together. We adventured over mountains, across rivers and into woods. Duke was always there for me, during the heartbreak and sorrow, celebration and peace. I gave Duke Kibbles and he taught me about unconditional love. Thank you all for sharing in the loss. I appreciate each of you for the out pouring of support.

Duke helped me join a community of wonderful people. I am so fortunate to have such humanity in my life.
