Elizabeth Knox Phillips, age 91, formerly of Chester died February 4, 2016 in a local nursing facility.

The graveside funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday Feb. 6, 2016 at Chester Memorial Gardens and officiated by Reverend Paige Wheeler.

Mrs. Phillips was the widow of Richard E. Phillips. She was a native of Chester Counties Rodman community and the daughter of the late Franklin Wylie Knox and Mary Caroline Proctor Knox. She is survived by one step-son Steven H. Phillips (Vickie) of Greenville; 4 grandchildren; 5 great-grand-children.

She was a 1941 honor graduate of Oakley Hall High School. She was retired from the S.C. Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services as an Administrative Assistant. She was a member of Capers Chapel United Methodist Church.
