Mrs. Erika Elizabeth Pabst Sprouse, 84, of Markland Road, died Sunday, September 29, 2024, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem, NC. She was born in Germany on December 12, 1939, to the late Erwin and Elizabeth Schuster Pabst. Mrs. Sprouse was a member of Mt. Pleasant Church in Chester, SC. She retired as a bookkeeper from Seamless Sensations in Chester and had also been employed by Wachovia Bank and Spratt Savings Bank in Chester. She was an avid animal lover and loved rescuing and taking care of all animals. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Shirley Newton Sprouse. Survivors include three sons, Michael Sprouse of Cooleemee, Thomas Sprouse (Cindy) of Advance, and Robert Sprouse (Kathy) of Ridgeway, South Carolina; four grandchildren, Emily Walker (Adam), Miranda Sprouse, Lindsay Maupin, and Andrew Sprouse; eight great grandchildren; a sister, Ulrike Pabst; and a brother, Erwin Pabst both of Germany. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m., October 10th at Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church. The graveside inurnment will in Mt. Pleasant Church Cemetery.
