Mrs. Frances Nevins Meek, age 86, and formerly of Chester passed away on January 14, 2013 in a Rock Hill skilled nursing facility. She was born, January 15, 1926, in Gaston County, NC to the late Allie B. and Jessie Crook Nivens. She was retired from Wal-Mart and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Mrs. Meek is survived by her husband "Bob" John Robert Meek; two sons, James B. Meek and his wife Rita of Gastonia, Billy Reece Meek of Bessemer City, NC. She had six grandchildren, nine great-grand-children and one great-grand-child. She was preceded in death by one son, Robert Banks Meek.
The visitation and funeral for Mrs. Meek will be at Calvary Baptist Church on Friday, January 18, 2013. The visitation will be from 1:00pm until 2:00pm, the funeral will be conducted by Reverend David M. Sealy at 2:00pm.  Mrs. Meek will be laid to rest in the Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to The Mission Fund of Calvary Baptist Church, 160 Calvary Church Road, Chester, SC 29706.
