Geneva Dalton, age 90, passed away December 9, 2022 in MUSC-Nursing Center. She was the widow of Richard P. Dalton, Jr. and the daughter of the late John Reece Blackwell and Golda Capps Blackwell.

She attended St. Paul's Presbyterian Church when her health allowed. She retired from Superior-Essex and later found a sincere passion working at WeeCare Day Care in Chester. She never met a stranger and enjoyed talking and socializing with people at every opportunity.

She is survived by her son Scott Dalton and daughter Lori James (Joe); one brother, Johnny Blackwell (Shirley) all of Chester. She was blessed with one grandson, Wes McNinch. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Estelle Aiken and Eunice Foster; one brother Ernest Blackwell.

The celebration of life service will be held 4:00p.m. Monday, December 12, 2022, in the chapel of Pollard Funeral Home by Reverend Don Etters. The burial will be private in Chester Memorial Gardens.
