George L. Smart, II of Clover passed away Wednesday. He was born in Chester and was the son of Mr.& Mrs. George Lonnie Smart, I & Jean Beckham Smart of Winnsboro; and the husband of Melissa Wilson Smart of the home. He is also survived by two daughters, Ashley Taylor Smart and Haley Allison Smart both of Clover; three brothers William Bowen of Ft. Lawn, Stoney Harper of Great Falls and Lynn Harper of Anderson; two sisters, Barbara Burns of Greenville, SC and Debra Stubbs of Haughton, Louisiana; grandchildren; Brantley Neal, Norah Gilfillan, Nolan Neal, Aston Neal and one soon to be born grand-child.

George enjoyed woodworking and following the USC Gamecocks.

Graveside services will be 3pm Sunday at Evergreen Cemetery in Chester. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
