Geraldine Darby, 82, joined her Lord and Savior in Heaven on Friday morning. She was the daughter of the late Willie E. and Ruth Mays Fordham. She is survived by her husband Edison Darby of the home and her three children, Angela Kee of Chester, Sonja Eidson (Bubba) of Warrenville, SC, Eddie Darby (Wanda) of Chester; one sister, Carolyn Sinyard of Byron, Ga.; one brother, Ronald Fordham (Linda); thirteen grand-children and numerous great & great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by five sisters, Agnes Owens, Elaine Mullis, Avis Grimsley, Ruby Owens & Betty Entrekin and two brothers, Buddy Fordham and Bobby Boss.

She was a member of The Community Church and the Happy Stitchers Club of Chester First Free Will Baptist Church. She loved baking cakes, making crafts, arranging flowers and shopping at her favorite place, Walmart.

Visitation for Mrs. Darby is 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 22nd at The Community Church, 186 Saluda Street in Chester. The burial will be private.
