Gladys M. Tartaris, 95, passed away Saturday evening. She was the widow of Peter C. Tartaris and the daughter of the late Henry S. and Gertrude Romig Pustarfi. Mrs. Tartaris was born in Glen Ridge, New Jersey and she was a retired bookkeeper from Jarvis Corporation in Middletown, Connecticut.

She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia 'Cindy' Graham and her husband, Earl of Chester; her two sons, Stephen Tartaris of Conway, SC and Robert Tartaris and his wife, Sharon of Branford, Connecticut; six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Henry Pustarfi.

Mrs. Tartaris was an avid reader and took great joy in working large puzzles and loving on her fur babies, Mason and Sally. She was a charter member of American Legion Auxiliary Unit 48 in Guilford, Connecticut where she was a faithful member for 32 years. Mrs. Tartaris resided in Guilford, Connecticut for 48 years and in Chester, SC for 10 years.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to American Legion Auxiliary Unit 48, 260 W. Lake Avenue, Guilford, CT 06437-1308.

Reverend Jay Dorsey will conduct the Celebration of Life service, 6:00 p.m. Thursday, February 20 in the chapel of Pollard Funeral Home. The urn burial will be in Alder Brook Cemetery in Guilford, Connecticut.
