Gregory Lee Canipe, age 32, of Indian Trail, NC passed away Tuesday in Atrium Health-Pineville. He was the son of Rhonda Canipe Blackwell and Rick Blackwell of Chester. He is also survived by two children, Ryder Lee Canipe of Ft. Mill and Chloe Elain Canipe of Monroe, NC; two brothers, Cody Benfield of Indian Trail, NC, Logan Mims (Rielly) of Huntersville, NC; two sisters, Sydney Canipe of Chester and Samantha Beard (Brad) of Gastonia, NC; maternal grandmother, Ellen Hartis of Indian Trail, NC; 5 nieces and nephews.

Gregory was employed as a foreman for Blythe Construction in Charlotte, NC. Greg graduated from Bandys High School in Catawba, NC. He played all sports while in high school with football being his favorite. He loved riding his Harley Davidson and being a fan of the Carolina Panthers.

The family will receive friends 1:30 - 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Pollard Funeral Home and immediately following the graveside until 7:00 p.m. at the home of Rhonda and Rick Blackwell,  921 Turner Lane in Chester.

The graveside service will be conducted by Mr. Shane Faircloth at 3:00 p.m. in the Lando Cemetery.
