Harry Lee Thompson Holden, 86, went to be with her Savior while surrounded by her loving family on January 16, 2015. Harry was the last surviving child of Gilbert C. and Cassie Autman Thompson, in Hemmingway, SC. She was well known in Chester and had made many friends as a cashier at Revco Drugs. She was a member of Blackstock First Baptist Church and had been a Sunday school teacher for many years.
Her Visitation will be 6-8p.m. Monday, January 19th at Pollard Funeral Home and the funeral will be conducted by Brother Dale "Bumpy" Walters and Pastor Kevin Taylor, 3p.m., Tuesday at Blackstock First Baptist Church. The burial will be in the church cemetery.
She is survived by sons John Michael Holden (Karen) of Blackstock, Billy Holden (Grace) of Camden; daughter Barbara Ann H. Skinner (Jarrod) of Great Falls; one grandchild, Cori H. Roof (Brad); great-grand-children, Alan Michael Holden, Tyler Roof, Haleigh Holden, Haileigh Skinner and Ethan Roof.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made in Mrs. Holden's name to Ronald McDonald House Charities Inc., by visiting www.rmhcharleston.org.
The family is gathering at her home, 2365 Holden Road in Blackstock.
