Hilda Swierszcz, age 92, died Jan. 19, 2020. She was the widow of Edward Swierszcz and the daughter of the late Oscar V. and Catherine Cullen Vogel. Born in New York, New York, Mrs. Swierszcz was a retired customer service representative of Hearst Publications and a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Floral Park, New York where she was involved in the Ministry of Consolation and the Women's Club.

She is survived by one son, Edward Swierszcz of Chester; two daughters, Elaine Gaither and husband David of Chester, Jean Allen of Floral Park, NY.; grand-children, Elizabeth Allen, Rod Gaither, Jr., Joshua Gaither, Annmarie Gaither and many great-grand-children. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Joan Swierszcz.

Visitation for Mrs. Swierszcz is 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Pollard Funeral Home. A Memorial Mass will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Chester. Burial will be in the Cemetery of the Holy Rood, Westbury, Nassau County, New York.
