Irene Williamson Croft, age 82, of 1894 Boyd Road, passed away December 22, 2015. She was born in Patrick, NC to the late Clyde and Gillie Payne Williamson. Mrs. Croft was a Christian and she was blessed with a very unique sense of humor. She enjoyed reading, sewing, canning homegrown vegetables, watching Family Feud, and spending time with her family and the many special Sunday dinners together.

Mrs. Croft was the widow of Joe "Slim" Croft and she is survived by one son and his wife, Melvin and Judy Croft of Blackstock, daughters and their husbands, Evelyn and Wayne Horne of Richburg, Betty Jo and David Lawson of Richburg, Anita and Bill McKinney of Chester and Christine and Scott McKenzie of Chester; 19 grandchildren; 31 great-grand-children; 9 great-great-grand-children and a large number of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one brother, Lester Williamson and one sister, Lorine Carland.

She retired from Springs Industries after 30 years service.

Visitation for Mrs. Croft will be held 6-8p.m, Saturday December 26th at Chester First Free Will Baptist Church. The funeral will be held 3p.m. Sunday at Chester First Free Will Baptist and officiated by Reverends Matthew Horne and James Sanders. The burial will be in Blackstock Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu flowers the family suggests memorials be made in her name to Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church, 1660 Pleasant Grove Road, Chester, SC 29706.

The pallbearers will be Mrs. Croft's grandsons.
