Iris Rowell Brigman, age 58, of 151 Marwood Drive went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on November 3, 2014 at Springs Memorial Hospital. She was born February 19, 1956 in Monroe, NC to Norman F. and Virginia Gaskey Rowell and she was the wife of Jack A. Brigman of the home. Iris was retired from Phillips Industries. Iris was a Christian in faith and she enjoyed making wooden crafts with her husband.

In addition to her husband she is survived by two sons, Robert Lane Lammonds (April) of Chester, Ray Charles Lammonds (Jessica) of Gaston, NC; two daughters, Melinda Morgan and Erica Brigman, both of Monroe, NC; two brothers, Wayne Rowell (Rachel) and Charles Rowell (Debbie), both of Indian Trail, NC; two sisters, Mary Little and Phyllis Sawyer (Tom), both of Monroe, NC; ten grand-children; and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by five brothers, James L., Van Douglas, Ray, Roger and Billy Joe Rowell. Iris loved and influenced the lives of many more children throughout several generations and will be missed by the many that loved her.

The first memorial service will be held Saturday, November 8 at Mill Grove United Methodist Church, 7311 Mill Grove Road, Indian Trail, NC 28079. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7p.m. and the service will begin at 7p.m. The second memorial service will be conducted by Reverend Ronnie Greene, Sunday November 9, from 2-4p.m. at The Community Family Church in Chester.The family will receive friends Sunday at the home after 4p.m.

The family is now gathering at the home, 151 Marwood Drive in Chester.
