Jack E. Carter, 84, of 153 West End Street, Chester, died Thursday, February 29, 2024. Born March 16, 1939 in Newberry, SC, he was the son of the late Gladys Mae Carter. Jack is survived by two sons, Michael Kevin Carter (Kimberly) of Green Cove Springs, Florida and Brian Neal Carter, of Rock Hill; 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren.

Jack was a member of the VFW Post 2889, he liked playing golf and walking for exercise and was seen daily on his walks in Chester. He loved his dear family and all sports of the Carolina Gamecocks. He was retired from Springs Industries where he was a department manager.
