James Benjamin McKay, Jr., age 73, passed away June 24, 2021 in Chester. He was the son of the late Johnnie Mae Hopper McKay and James B. McKay, Sr. He is survived by his God-children, Jo, Jan, Carmela, McKayden Oliver, Thad Hollis and William Keith Mobley, Jr.

Prior to his decline in health, Mr. McKay had been very active as a faithful member of St. Paul's Presbyterian Church in Chester. He was a retired Telecommunications Operator Supervisor for the SC Highway Patrol in Chester. He graduated from Great Falls High School.

The graveside service at Chester Memorial Gardens will held at 11 a.m. Friday, July2nd.
