James Richard
(Ricky) Pate
March 23, 1949 – December 18, 2014
James Richard "Ricky" Pate, age 65, of 1421 Broken Circle, entered life eternal on December 18, 2014. He was the husband of Diane James Pate, and was the son of Louise Loving Pate of Chester and the late Albert Pate. Born March 23, 1949 in Chester County, he was a member of the Chester First Church of the Nazarene and where he taught Sunday School. He loved to play music, being outdoors, hunting, fishing at Lake Jocassie. He was a U.S. Army veteran and trained in Special Forces and was an Independent Insurance agent in Chester.
He is survived by his wife Diane of the home; his mother; daughters, Tammy P. Peeples of Harmony, NC, Angie P. Herb (Shannon) of Hiddenite, NC, Christina P. Deal (Monty) of Union, Dixie (Bill) Bolin of Richburg, Tracey (Jimmy) Parker of York; brother, Kenneth Pate (Brenda) of Lowrys; twelve grand-children and two great-grand-children.
Pastor John Porter will conduct a graveside service at 2:00p.m., Sunday at Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorials be made to the Chester First Church of the Nazarene, 182 Pinckney Street, Chester, SC 29706.
