At the age of 77 years, Jimmy McArthur "Pop" Brunet went home to be with his heavenly Father in the early morning of June 16, 2021. He was the son of the late August V. and Janie Mae Rogers Brunet, Jr. He is survived by his loving wife, Dianne Robbins Brunet; one daughter and her husband, Regina and John Mathias of Chester; one son and his wife, Jim M. and Kelly Brunet, Jr. of Catawba; grand-sons, Andrew, Jacob, Reed and Sawyer Brunet all of Catawba; grand-daughters, Samantha M. Johnson and her husband, Devin of Rock Hill, Paige Mathias, and Anna-Taylor Mathias of Chester; great-grand-children, Lane, Blake, Luke, and Bryce Johnson. Mr. Brunet was preceded in death by one grand-daughter, McKenzie Mathias.

Mr. Brunet attended schools in Chester and served in the National Guard. Flowers are preferred however if one chooses to make a monetary please make it to Woodward Baptist Church, 1570 Ashford Road, Chester, SC 29706.

The family will receive friends 5:00 - 7:00 Friday evening at 1184 Cedarhurst Road in Chester. Mr. Brunet retired from Springs Industries-Springsteen Plant and he attended Woodward Baptist Church where his Celebration of Life service will be conducted by Reverend Keith Hinson, 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 19th. Burial will be private in Evergreen Cemetery.
