Joseph P. Strange, age 58, passed away in Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte on May 4, 2017. He was the husband of Margaret Atorn Strange of the home and the son of the late Frank and Florine Wheelon Strange. He is also survived by three step children, Suzie Elms of Chester and Jon Elms of Chester, James Elmes of Greensboro, NC; one sister, Doris Becknell of Landrum; and six grandchildren.

Joe was a retired industrial maintenance mechanic and enjoyed drag racing. He was of the Baptist faith.
