Blackstock

John Gilbert Brantley, age 77, of Blackstock passed away Sunday November 16, 2014 at Dorn VA Hospital in Columbia. Mr. Brantley was the widower of JoAnne McGarity Brantley and the father of John W. (Lee) Brantley of Blackstock and Amy Brantley of Chester; the grandfather of Tori and Zack Brantley; the brother of Marion Brantley of Chester.

Mr. Brantley was a veteran of the US Air Force and he was the owner of Brantley's Heating and Air. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church, enjoyed shag dancing with his wife and playing pool.

Mr. Brantley's graveside service will be conducted by Reverend Matt Horne; Wednesday, November 19th at 11:30 a.m. at Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to the Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church Cemetery Fund, 1660 Pleasant Grove Road, Chester, SC 29706.
