John Robert Shirley, Jr. 73, passed away Sunday, September 28, 2025. He was born in Chester and the son of the late John R. & Grace Massey Shirley. He is survived by two sons, Anthony "Tony" Shirley (Melanie) of Chester and Scott Shirley (Lisa) of Blackstock; one sister, Carolyn Mobley (Billy) of Chester; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister, Patsy Shirley and most recently by his loving wife, Margaret Shirley.

Mr. Shirley was a retired truck driver and an avid Clemson fan. He was of the Baptist faith.
