Kathy Jean Bland Hall, age 59, of Chester, passed away September 10, 2013 in Piedmont Medical Center. Kat was the daughter of the late George W. and Minnie Benson Bland. She is survived by her husband Jon K. Hall, Sr. of the home; one son, Jon K. Hall, Jr. and his wife Kelly; two daughters, Minnie Hall Elliott and her husband Keith, Crystal Hall Metheny and her husband Tobby all of Chester. Also surviving are, a niece and nephew reared in the home, Jessica L. Bland and David L. Bland; four brothers, George B. Bland, Sr., Richard E. Bland, Sr., Jimmie M. Bland, William L. Bland and his wife Anita; one sister in law, Barbara Jo Bland, eight grandchildren, all of Chester. She was pre-ceded in death by one brother Robert W. Bland and one sister, Sandra Minnie Magdalene Bland.
Kat was of the Church of God faith and she loved spoiling her grandchildren and the neighborhood children. She enjoyed fishing and crocheting.
The visitation for Kat will be held at Pollard Funeral Home on Thursday night from 6 to 8p.m. and the graveside funeral will be conducted at 3p.m. Friday at Evergreen Cemetery and officiated by Reverend Ronnie Greene.
The family is gathering at the home, 570 Pryor Street in Chester.
